Monaghan Group Recognized as a Top 100 North Carolina Small Business

Charlotte-based accounting services firm earns place on list for second year running

CHARLOTTE, NC, JULY 9, 2009 – Monaghan Group has earned a spot in Business Leader’s “Top 100 North Carolina Small Businesses” list for the second year in a row. The Charlotte-based accounting firm, which has offices in the Triangle and Triad and provides customized outsourced accounting solutions to nonprofit entities, private businesses and public companies, placed 22nd for 2009. More than 300 small businesses were nominated.

Monaghan Group is in its 13th year of providing clients with experienced accounting professionals, who may serve in interim positions or help resolve accounting dilemmas on a project basis. The company achieved its position in the top 25% in part due to its strong growth, having increased revenues seven-fold in the past five years. Further, despite a difficult economy, Monaghan Group replicated its prior year’s business in 2008.
